This Spring, Denon presented its new AV receivers, and there weren’t too many additions, except perhaps in the pricing: for the first time in a long time, Denon will be able to compete at the entry level withdeveloped sports such as analog to digital HDMI video transcoding and an exceptional selection of surround sound decoding, including Dolby TrueHD, Dolby ProLogic IIz and DTS-HD Master Audio. The Denon AVR-1910 is a full 7.1-channel AV receiver with four HDMI inputs, offering the ability to upconvert analog and digital video signals to 1080p output over HDMI. It contains four digital audio inputs and also a plethora of analog video and audio inputs including a 7.1-channel analog audio input.  It’s also XM/Sirius-ready with subscription to that satellite radio service.

Moreover to providing the current high resolution audio decoders, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, the Denon AVR-2310CI is among the first to incorporate Dolby Pro Logic IIz, which provides a dramatic expansion of the front soundstage by deriving additional front channel height effects.The design of the Denon AVR-2310CI is meant to perfectly match any of the Blu-ray disc players and other home theater systems.The  AVR-2310CI is which with audio decoder includes and sound modes. This makes it bulkier than the other receivers being sold, but it is a solid multi-source and multi-zone receiver supporting 7.1 channels. It is also one of the up to date players out there with even more connections on the back for further convenience.

The Denon AVR-3310CI is a 7-channel surround receiver that not only offers high-bit interlace-to-progressive conversion and scaling up to 1080p along with other acclaimed Denon audio and video technologies, but also lets users enjoy all kinds of media such as network audio and photo streaming. While this design may be one of the bulkiest around, it maintains a clean sturdy look that resembles the Blu-ray universal players and DVD changers. The layout is surprisingly clean when the front panel is closed showing the different logos of the formats that it supports plus the basic controls on the sides. Optimized audio and video quality completes this superb AV receiver, a fantastic companion to any Blu-Ray player, particularly a Denon one.
